Now by Asterion 19 MAR 2025 There is no time. There is only now. My subjective experience is now. It has reason and predictability, which allows me to say: There is no past. There are only memories of previous moments—previous nows—that I access now. There is no future. The future is a concept that comes from subconscious processes, which among other things engage in inductive reasoning. I have memories. I seem to have been accumulating memories. I see no reason this would stop, unless I died or got brain damaged. --- This, to me, is revealing of the limits of human consciousness. We can only perceive the passage of time from vague glimpses we accumulate. We evolved to perceive time linearly, and store moments of it's progression imperfectly. We cannot access our moments like videos on a hard drive. They get fuzzy over time. Fine details are forgotten. If it's possible to evolve seeing time non-linearly, and storing moments or all that's seen perfectly—even going beyond now—then we may only be at the very beginning of sapience in the Cosmic Calendar And all the more reason to reject the false truths of ideology. There are simply things that will always be unknown and uncertain.
